There was a charity day last week in The Wells Spa, where the therapists and crew gave their services for free, and the total amount raised was €1,907. This was part of the fundraising activities that the manager of The Wells, Therese Meaney, entered into as part of the Four Peaks Challenge for Focus Ireland. Of course, the really hard part of the challenge was climbing the highest mountain in each province in 48 hours, which the team achieved. It’s July, it’s the first weekend of a new month, and that means tomorrow is Market Sunday at Macreddin. The weather is looking cracking, so it should be a perfect day for lazing around with a glass of Bubbly and a dash of our very own Wild Elderflower Cordial.
