It’s coming to late summer and early autumn and it’s the perfect time for some great country walks. Last weekend’s Irish Times and Sunday Times featured two different Wicklow walks, both of which commence very near Macreddin, and are repoduced below. Why not try them out, and if you fancy a bit of spoiling afterwards, well you know where to come… (They are also linked in PDF format below, in case you want to print them out – enjoy)

It’s Market Time again this Sunday, and just like every other Market Sunday this “Summer”, we will spend the weekend praying for good weather. Anyway, from 12 noon this Bank holiday Sunday there’ll be the usual great market stalls, an organic pig-on-a-spit and live jazz.
While you’re here, have a look at our new “Crow’s Nest” table in The Orchard. There has been a fantastic old giant eucalyptus tree for years in The Orchard, but unfortunately the snows of the winter before last killed it. For safety reasons we had to cut down the main trunks, but rather than just rip the rest out of the ground we decided to make it into a unique table. Perfect for a glass of organic prosecco.
